During our stay in Monterey, we will visit the popular attractions this historic seaside village offers. The Monterey Bay Aquarium will allow us to discover and explore the Monterey Bay through spectacular exhibits including a special exhibit on the Deep Sea.
Fisherman’s Wharf, once the bustling center of Monterey’s fishing industry, will allow us to shop in a variety of specialty shops and experience the best fresh seafood or anything your taste buds desire. We will take a scenic cruise to explore the beautiful coastline and maybe do some whale watching. Of course we will also visit Cannery Row for more great shopping and dining. Historic Downtown Monterey will be a wonderful place to explore with galleries, antiques, specialty shops and the best ice cream around.
We’ll also be spending a day in Santa Cruz at the famous Boardwalk. The Boardwalk is a half-mile long historic amusement park next to Santa Cruz’s mile long Main Beach. It features more than 34 rides and attractions including two National Historic Landmarks: the 1924 Giant Dipper roller coaster and the 1911 Looff Carousel plus plenty of modern thrill rides, dozens of restaurants, shops, games, indoor arcades, and miniature golf.
